Two wounded souls find each other in this book as Declan and Lorena meet and work together. They have both made mistakes and are paying the price for the choices they have made, but as they discover, there are few errors that cannot be pardoned with the right attitude. This novel is part of a series and to some degree the stories do overlap and although this one is a standalone, it does help to have some understanding of the background to the plot. Old enemies appear once more and spiteful characters make their voices heard, bringing destruction in their wake. However, Declan and Lorena discover that there is a lot to be said for honest communication between a man and a woman. The book is well-written and somewhat suspenseful and although Declan and Lorena's story does come to a happy and successful conclusion, the series is far from over. I received a copy of this novel as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Ramona is a historical romance author who loves to immerse herself in research as much as she loves writing. A native of Montana, every day she marvels that she gets to live in such a beautiful place. When she’s not writing, her favorite pastimes are fly fishing the cool clear streams of a Montana river, hiking in the mountains, and spending time with family and friends.
